The best results are achievable when the artwork is available as a digital file such as a JPEG file produced by a digital camera.
We can work directly from most camera memory cards, CD’s, floppy disks, memory sticks or from files sent e-mailed files.
If you are a photographer, we can work directly with Photoshop files created on a PC or if your work is produced in In-design or Illustrator, we can work with those too.
We can scan flat artwork up to 300 x 460mm or for anything bigger we can photograph with a high resolution digital camera to reproduce the image.
We work hard to achieve the best colour match possible to the original, but where the artwork is provided in digital form only, some variation from the original may occur.
When printing limited edition runs, we will work with you to achieve the best colour likeness and then print the complete set of prints in a single run to ensure consistency.
We can also produce small sized proofs so you can check the colour match before the full job is run.
The pigment inks we use are guaranteed by the manufacturer to remain stable and constant for at least 75 years for colour prints or over 100 years for Black & White prints.
For commercial works, we can match to Pantone colours to ensure consistent colour reproduction.
We offer a range of materials including canvas, smooth or textured papers and gloss or satin photo-papers.
We are always happy to discuss and advise on your particular material requirements to get the best finish for your work.
With flat artwork originally produced on textured media, it’s well worth considering the possible effect of reproducing onto a textured material which could introduce unwanted ‘interference’ effects into the finished work.
When printing onto canvas, we always recommend taking up the liquid lamination option to provide additional durability and protection for your work.
